Shaping the Future of Drone Education

Drone flying in the air

Rocket Drones is proud to continue inspiring young ladies across the nation to continue reaching for the sky through our aviation program, preparing them for a bright future full of professional success. Founded by two drone industry professionals, Rocket Drones’ mission is to provide opportunities for hands-on drone education for young students through a combination of classroom learning and professional development. Periodically, the team at Rocket Drones spotlights their program participants to share their thoughts and dreams about aviation.

“Hi, my name is Layla and I’m part of the Blaze Drone Team. I chose to be part of this team because I love drones and I love that we get to race drones with other people and learn a lot about the drones themselves. I’m interested in using drones with films and TV shows and using drones as a swarm artist. I decided that I might as well learn about them now. Doing this could possibly help me in the future with teamwork and job ideas that include drones.” ~Layla

“Hi, my name is Arabella. I am in fifth grade and I am interested in the drone team because my dad, Andrew, is a drone pilot with Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Besides piloting, he also conducts research on drones. I am fascinated with different types of drones, such as underwater drones (AUV) and land drones (UGV). I’m excited to be part of the Blaze drone team and look forward to some awesome races.” ~ Arabella
